Chic Fun: Pop Art & Purple Accents
Chic Fun: Pop Art & Purple Accents

Ashley Stark-Kenner delves into what stands out to her in this Manhattan townhouse living room designed by Delphine Krakoff of Pamplemousse Design, as seen in Architectural Digest.

“I love the large painting by Al Held in the background and the way it nearly takes up the entire wall. A pop art feel permeates the entire room, from the artwork to the coffee tables.

The striped cowhide rug also modernizes the space, but by drawing on other contemporary design styles beyond pop art, it creates an even more expansively decorated look.

The white Warren Platner chairs by Knoll give off a ‘70s vibe, which contrasts well with the unique shape of the table in-between them and the contemporary print on the pillows.

The room seems fun. It’s bright and modern, but it pops – it’s clean, but not sterile.”
