Location of the Week: San Francisco

Victorian architecture, the best of the bay and the city, a notorious hippie culture and an even more notorious tech culture, San Francisco has something for everyone. This week’s location post features some of the most arresting views the city has to offer, so we understand if your eyes don’t immediately catch our featured rugs and carpets. We’re just happy we got to play a part in these spectacular Golden City homes.

High-ceilings, wood finishing’s, pure white walls and a French bulldog are the hallmarks of this San Francisco residence by Arcanum Architecure and Martha Angus. It’s not every day you can find chairs that perfectly match the floor display – in this case our hand-woven ABACA binding weave rug. The light in this room, along with our textured rug, gives the ceiling a defined edge.

A medley of contrasting woods, cream touches and our STARK rug blends seamlessly together to create a serene master bedroom. Designed by Erika Cat and Martha Angus for Luxe Magazines Seacliff project, this room shows that soft furnishings create a luxurious look.

We can bet you’ve never thought of placing a bed In the middle of the room. In this Pacific Heights bedroom we couldn’t imagine putting it anyplace else. Art collectors, Norah and Norman Stone, created a mid-century modern room scene with a leather bed a top our cool navy STARK carpet. When the views are this cinema-scopic you don’t need much else.

You’re looking at your new computer’s screensaver. BK Interior’s approached this contemporary Marin home with a minimalist point of view. The goal was to maximize the idea of California indoor and outdoor living and bring focus to the spectacular view of Mt. Tam. A confetti of plants, grey-toned furniture and a STARK hand loomed rug help work with and not against this open concept home.

Tucked perfectly into a 4D-looking geometrical, gold wall, the bedroom furniture looks customized to fit in this room design by Jones Home. Our STARK Trenton carpet’s contrasting print creates an art deco feel. We love the look of gold and grey together.

This view is sure to blow you away... Watch the intense California sun rise and fall and enjoy the alternating fog over the water in this contemporary dining room. Jones Home used a STARK custom rug in their design and no art as what is beyond the windows is the real conversation starter.
