Registered Trade Clients Can Now Purchase Products Online

Innovative New Features Allow Seamless Communication About All Aspects of Design Projects.

New York – May 12, 2015 – Stark today announced the launch of its completely reimagined website,, which puts new emphasis on collaboration among interior designers, their clients, and Stark account managers via an innovative new tool called Stark Boards. The company has also launched a specially tailored, trade-only e-commerce experience for registered members of the trade community.

Stark Boards are interactive, customizable mood boards that designers can use to show inspiration for a room or design. The Boards are Pinterest-like in their ability to save images, but are more engaging. Not only can images of Stark products be easily collected, shared, viewed, compared and commented on, but any digital image from any source can be uploaded, and all images can be resized, rearranged and layered, allowing designers and Stark sales staff to create true mood boards and collaborate on room schemes. Designers have the option to add their clients as users of the Boards, too, giving everyone the opportunity to discuss colors, patterns, textures—all aspects of the project. The Stark Boards are accessible exclusively through Stark’s new trade-only Dashboard, which also allows registered users to track projects, bookmark favorite Stark products for easy access later, check on order status, contact Stark Senior Vice President Chad Stark through a concierge messaging service, and more.

The addition of e-commerce for registered trade clients is another major enhancement to the site.  Now, designers can purchase Stark’s new and antique rugs, fabrics and wallcovering online. They can also request samples for a wide array of products on the site as well as request an “in-home trial” for area rugs.

Other new features on include a dramatically improved and expanded Products section with enhanced searching capabilities. New and antique area rugs, wall to wall carpet, fabrics, furniture and wallcovering can be filtered by type, size, color, pattern, and collection.

With a refined focus on content, Stark has added a team of writers and editors who oversee the new World of Stark section where users can find content from the company’s social media channels like Instagram and Pinterest, as well as new features including:

  • Ashley’s Window, a new blog by Stark Senior Vice President, Design, Ashley Stark-Kenner, who will cover design trends and inspirations from her point of view as the company’s creative director
  • Design Showcase, a new series of profiles on designers
  • Behind the Scenes, an insider’s view of Stark happenings and special events
  • Find a Designer, a new link to the American Society of Interior Designers’ (ASID’s) referral service that connects clients with North America’s most talented designers
  • About Us – Heritage, a timeline of milestones across Stark’s more than 75 years in business
