Handloom carpets are woven on handmade looms using a weaving process with vertical warp yarns running the length of the carpet. The weft yarns run the width of the carpet in a shuttle, creating the structure of the design and pattern. Handloom weavers can create cut or loop pile carpets, flatweave carpets, and a tremendous variety of unique textures. The hand-crafted nature of this weaving gives each carpet a very unique and individual look and feel.
